Pick the color you want gone, tune the tolerance, and download a transparent PNG. Nothing leaves your device.
To remove a color from an image, open the file, click the color in the preview, adjust tolerance to include similar shades, and download the result as a transparent PNG. The entire process runs locally in your browser.
Drag each control to compare the original image with the transparent PNG result. These examples show where removing one specific color works best.
The flat green field is removed while the black logo remains sharp and usable on any layout.
Remove the paper color and keep the ink ready for a document, presentation, or approval workflow.
A consistent backdrop becomes transparent without asking an AI model to guess where the object begins.
Illustrative on-page examples. Actual results depend on color variation, shadows, compression, and the tolerance you choose.
No layers, masks, or complicated menus. The tool is designed around the one job you came here to finish.

Select a pixel on the image or enter a HEX value. Adjust tolerance to include shadows and nearby shades.
Check the transparent preview, compare it with the original, and save the processed image as a PNG.
Private by architecture
The color-removal engine runs inside your browser. There is no upload queue, cloud processing step, account, or server-side image storage.
Color removal sounds simple, but edges, compression, and shadows can create dozens of nearby pixel values. These controls help you remove the right range.
The selected color becomes transparent. The tool compares every pixel with your sample and removes pixels that fall inside the tolerance range. The visible result is a PNG with transparent areas where that color used to be.
This works especially well for flat logos, icons, scanned signatures, product graphics, and illustrations with a solid background.
A tolerance of zero targets only pixels that exactly match the chosen RGB value. Raise the value to include similar shades caused by anti-aliasing, lighting, shadows, or JPEG compression.
Start low and increase gradually. If important parts of the subject disappear, reduce the tolerance or sample a more representative background pixel.
If an image has a single-color background, click a clean background area and watch the preview. The checkerboard shows which pixels are transparent. Edge softness creates a gentler transition around the subject.
This tool removes colors by similarity. It is not an AI subject detector, so complex multicolor backgrounds may need a dedicated background-removal or photo-editing tool.
JPEG files cannot store transparent pixels. Even when you open a JPG, the cleaned result downloads as PNG so the transparent areas remain transparent in design tools, websites, presentations, and documents.
Keep your source image. Exporting creates a new file and does not overwrite the original on your device.
A dedicated color remover is faster than opening a full editor when the task is simply to make one flat color transparent.
Remove a white, black, or brand-color box around a logo before placing it in a layout.
Turn the paper color transparent while keeping the darker ink visible for a document.
Clear a consistent backdrop from a simple product graphic without selecting every edge manually.
Remove a specific color from an icon, sticker, pixel graphic, or simple illustration.
Common questions
Upload an image, click the color you want to remove, adjust the tolerance until the preview looks right, then download the result as a transparent PNG.
Yes. This browser-based tool removes a selected color without installing Photoshop or creating an account.
No. Image processing happens locally in your browser, so your files do not need to be uploaded to our server.
You can open common browser-supported image formats such as PNG, JPG, JPEG and WebP. Results download as PNG so transparent pixels are preserved.
Tolerance controls how similar a pixel must be to the selected color before it becomes transparent. A low value removes a narrow color range; a higher value also removes nearby shades.
Yes. Open the PNG, click the specific color, adjust tolerance for nearby shades, and download a new PNG with that color made transparent.
No. This tool removes pixels by color similarity. It is precise for solid colors, logos, icons and simple backgrounds. An AI background remover identifies a subject and is usually better for complex photographic scenes.
